Clean Sky 2’s RATIOS project (Clean Sky Joint Undertaking) is designing the future cabin interior for regional aircraft, and the final configuration was recently completed.
The futuristic design endeavors to optimize travel times while maximizing the passengers’ flight experience and, of course, reducing weight and improving eco-compliance thanks to the use of new technologies and materials.
The RATIOS project started on 1 March 2019 and will run until 28 February 2021, and received €551 497.50 in funding from the EU’s Horizon 2020 program for research and innovation. The consortium consists of Delta Interior (Project Coordinator), leader in aircraft interior design and manufacturing; Studio Volpi (Partner), a company with experience in design concepts, technology, and innovation; and Leonardo, global leading company specialized in aerospace, defense and security, covering the role of Topic Manager of the project.
